20 November 2008

The existing camps are already overcrowded so many people are taking refuge in schools, fields or public buildings.

People who have been forced to abandon their homes and walk for days to reach safety need help now.

CARE International is distributing clothing, hygiene items, blankets, water purification tablets and shelter materials to people in the city of Goma.

In the heavily affected area of Biranbibizo, North Kivu, CARE will provide survivors of rape with medical assistance, psychosocial support and help in recovering their ability to provide for themselves and their families.
