Magdalene Lagu

Magdalene is Rights Advisor at CARE International UK. Her work supports CARE and others working in development and emergencies to adopt rights-based approaches to addressing the underlying causes of poverty.

With more than eight years of programme experience in both development and humanitarian contexts, including design, monitoring and evaluation, and putting rights-based approaches into action, Magdalene has particular interest in HIV and AIDS, sexual and reproductive health and rights. 

Magdalene has a masters degree in development management from the London School of Economics, a graduate diploma in law from the College of Law and a bachelors degree in international relations from Keele University.
