CARE and innocent

Since 2006 the innocent foundation has supported CARE’s work in Ecuador where 97% of people live on less than 50p a day.

innocent drinks give 10 per cent of their profits to charity, most of which is distributed by the innocent foundation. The innocent foundation focuses its funding on supporting people dependent on subsistence agriculture in building sustainable futures.

The innocent foundation is supporting two projects in Ecuador - one in the northern desert region, and the other in the rainforest in the south - that support the farmers growing and selling organic fruit and vegetables.

The people the projects work with are amongst the poorest people in Ecuador – but CARE is working to change that by helping farmers and their families earn more money to make a decent living.

"The innocent foundation first supported a CARE project in 2006 and because we like to work with NGOs we like, trust to do good work and have real impact on the ground, we have gone on to support a further project. We're really excited by what is being achieved by these CARE projects which are helping people to build sustainable futures." Linda Perry, head of the innocent foundation.
