One example of what your donation could achieve is Rehana's story.  Rehana lives in a Dhaka shanty town and following the death of her husband, the family had very little income.  She struggled to care for her two children and keep them in school.  Their only means of survival was for all three to climb over the rubbish tips, collecting things like bottle caps and plastic bags to sell for a tiny amount of money.

With a small loan from CARE of just £9.15, Rehana set up a street kitchen selling fish cakes and rice.  In just eight months, she has paid back the loan, bought mosquito nets to protect against malaria and most importantly put her children back through school.
