Thank you to CARE campaigners and supporters who joined us in standing up and taking action in 2009.
CARE joined thousands of people across the UK, and millions around the world, in telling politicans that poverty and climate change are huge issues that need tackling right now.
The weekend of October 16-18 was 20 days before the G20 Finance Ministers’ meeting in Scotland, and 50 days before global climate change talks in Copenhagen.
MPs and parliamentary candidates are also thinking about the upcoming general election.
In Camberwell CARE campaigners visited Harriet Harman MP's surgery, and met with local Conservative candidate Andy Stranack.
In Brighton activists held a street stall and invited local MPs and candidates to meet them.
It was a great way of reminding politicians that local constituents care about global issues.
Next year CARE aims to play an even bigger role and support more people to Stand Up and Take Action - check back for more details soon.
