CARE at WOMAD festival

The Womad Festival. The Womad Festival.Summer has arrived and festival season is in full swing. This year CARE will be at WOMAD – the World of Music, Arts and Dance festival, taking place from 23rd to 25th July in Wiltshire.

If you’re going to be at WOMAD, the campaign team would love to meet you! Come along to our stand, learn more about our Voices Against Violence campaign and how you can take action to protect women from violence in conflict.

This year, Democratic Republic of Congo marks 50 years since independence, and CARE is teaming up with the Congo Now campaign, to raise awareness of the issues affecting Congolese women.

We’ll be hosting an event where you can hear from Judith Wanga, star of recent BBC documentary “The World's Most Dangerous Place For Women”, about her trip back to the country of her birth. Come along and hear from Judith at the CARE stand at 2pm on Sunday 25th July.

Call by our stand at any time to learn more about our work and show your solidarity with women activists in Africa. You can even pick up a free CARE beach ball, and help us spread the word.
