Join us to celebrate World Humanitarian Day 2010!

On 19 August 2010, and for the second time, we will celebrate World Humanitarian Day. This Day, celebrated across the world, aims to raise awareness about humanitarian work and to provide insight of what it means today to be an aid worker.

In all parts of the world, humanitarian workers will describe their work, share their experiences, explain the principles that guide relief activities, and portray the hazards they face in the course of their work.

World Humanitarian Day will also be an opportunity to pay tribute to those who lost their lives or were injured in the course of their work. To learn more about humanitarian work and security incidents, download our graphic.
