CARE is getting on board the EQUALS soul train this International Women’s Day, and we’d love you to join us!
A Soul Train is created when dancers form two lines, one of men, one of women, with a space in the middle for pairs of male-female dancers to strut down and showcase their moves. Working with the EQUALS coalition, we want to show the world that if equality can be reality on the dancefloor, why not in all spheres of life?
Why not watch the video for a few pointers?
CARE is joining the flagship EQUALS SOUL TRAIN event in London, at Southbank Centre's Jubilee Gardens by the London Eye, from 3pm-6pm. We’ll have DJs, celebrity MCs, dance troops and you, the wonderful dancing public. Annie Lennox OBE will be there to kick us off, along with a host of celebrities. Our anthem will be McFadden and Whitehead’s Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now!
As campaigners for CARE’s Voices Against Violence campaign, we’re standing up for women living in conflict. Their voices are not always heard by people in power, so in the UK we’re raising our own voices and calling for action.
Join us in London, or create your own Soul Train for International Women’s Day at your school, office, community centre – anywhere that will raise a smile.
