Photo of the day: a wedding and a new chance in life

17 year old Zahar Jamalig does make up and hair for Masoma, 22, who is getting married. She runs a beauty parlor in her mother's front room in Kabul, Afghanistan, after taking a beauty training course run by Care International.

Her mother was a widow and unable to afford to feed her children, but with her training Zahar is able to support herself. She has discovered that there’s no shortage of special occasions that need celebrating.
