Many areas of Bangladesh, including the south western districts of Satkhira, Jessore and Khulna, have experienced flooding throughout August. The flood waters are yet to fully recede.

Well over 800,000 people have been affected, with a quarter of them having had their homes completely flooded. It is anticipated that it will take 3 to 4 months for the water to draw back enough for many of those who have had to leave to return home.

CARE is providing food, and also helping with sanitation, shelter and long term disaster resilience.

Please give to our Rapid Response Fund and help us be there fast when disasters strike.
