Stop the demolition of the Palestinian village of Susiya and CARE’s health clinic - update

Thanks to all supporters who have taken action to stop the demolition of CARE’s health clinic and the Palestinian village of Susiya Thanks to all supporters who have taken action to stop the demolition of CARE’s health clinic and the Palestinian village of Susiya CARE supporters from all over the world have signed the petition, helping bring the number from 4,000 to over 10,000.

We are excited to report that advocacy efforts are paying off. The ‘Rabbis for Human Rights’ lawyer for Susiya has confirmed that the demolition orders are still frozen by Israeli authorities. Help keep it that way by spreading the word and encouraging your friends and networks to sign the petition.

While we applaud the decision to freeze the demolition orders for Susiya, similar demolition orders have been given for 8 more villages near Susiya, which includes another one of CARE’s health clinics and which will displace 1,500 Palestinians. CARE calls on Israel's Civil Administration to immediately halt the demolition orders in Majaz, Tabban, Sfai, Fakhit, Halaweh, Mirkez, Jinba and Kharuba, which includes an ECHO-funded health clinics run by CARE International in partnership with Union Health Work Committees, and on all humanitarian aid projects in the occupied Palestinian territory.
