Giving monthly by text?
Thank you if you have chosen to give a monthly gift of £3, £4 or £5 through your mobile. Once you have replied to activate your subscription, gifts will be taken from your mobile bill each month. CARE will send a monthly reminder text and you can choose to skip that month's payment within 24 hours of receiving the reminder. To do this, text SKIP to the number provided in the reminder text. You can stop your monthly £3, £4 or £5 donation at any time by texting STOP to the same number, or please call Supporter Care on 020 7091 6100. Viewing online content may incur data charges with some mobile contracts. Texting SKIP or STOP will be charged at your network's standard rate.
General terms and conditions
The donation will be added to your next phone bill, plus your standard network text charge. 100% of your donation will go to CARE. Please note that you cannot donate using this service from a Channel Islands or Isle of Man mobile or from outside of the UK.
Texted in error?
Charities sometime use the same keywords such as 'WATER' at different times so it's important to check the number and keyword before you send the text.
If you intended to donate to CARE but the keyword or short code you texted are invalid you may still be charged your standard network message charge. CARE will not receive the donation unless you use the correct keyword and number.
If you have texted CARE by mistake you may still be charged if the keyword is active. You will know the keyword is active if you receive a text from CARE to confirm the donation. In this instance, to claim a refund, please contact your network directly. If your network will not refund the donation you can contact CARE. However, we will not be able to make the refund until the payment has cleared our account, which may take over 90 days.
Permission to use the phone
All supporters must obtain permission from the bill payer before sending a text message. If you are under 16 years old, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to send a text donation to CARE.
CARE might contact you by text occasionally with updates or appeals. If you would like to opt out of any future text messages from CARE, please text END to 70099. This will be charged at your network's standard message charge (based on your service provider's rates).
You can also opt out of receiving future communications from CARE:
- Call: 020 7091 6100
