Romania

A Romanian babyA Romanian babyIn Romania we work with local partner Sera, with an aim to improve the lives of disabled and abandoned children by getting them out of institutional care and into foster homes.

Romania has a legacy of large insititutional children's homes from the communist era.  These homes do not offer a good environment for children to grow up in. CARE and Sera work together to change this system, and place children with foster families.
