Participant Instructions

You will be sent full Participant Instructions ahead of the event containing everything you need to know, from Start Procedure to Rider Pack Collection.

Bikes

BM Ride is for all types of cyclist. Take part on your road bike, mountain bike, folding bike … it’s up to you. Taking part in the BM ride but don’t have a reliable bike? Why not team up with Cycle Brighton who have a wide range of bikes to hire to suit all levels of cyclist. If you’re not sure what type of bike you want to use – road or hybrid – come along to their hire centre and discuss your requirements with their friendly staff. There are restrictions on some types of bikes you can use. Please check the event FAQS to find out which bikes are forbidden for health and safety reasons.

Rider Pack Collection

All participants in the BM Ride must collect their Rider Packs from the Brighton Marathon Weekend Event Village on Brighton Beach on Friday 18 or Saturday 19 September 2020. Your pack will contain your identification wrist band and bike number.

You will also collect your official BM Ride casquette at this stage.

Course Map

The ride will start and finish on Hove Lawns on the seafront. The 2020 course map and map of Velo Village will be available in early 2020.
