#March4Women sponsorship opportunities
We are building a global movement for equality. Your law firm can be part of it.
We are looking for partners to help us deliver London’s flagship International Women’s Day event in March 2019.
#March4Women brings people from all walks of life together to celebrate progress on gender equality, to demonstrate solidarity and commitment to a more equal world, and to push for further change.
In 2019, #March4Women offers a once-in-a-century opportunity for your law firm to publicly showcase your commitment to gender equality in the workplace, and support for your valued and brilliant female staff.
2019: 100 years of women in the law
2019 will be 100 years since the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act was passed, which paved the way for women to finally practice law – an important milestone in the slow progress towards the rights of women to fulfil their potential and gain ownership over their lives and futures.
There is much for the legal profession to celebrate in the last 100 years. Today, one-third of all practising barristers and approximately half of all practising solicitors are women. Yet there is still work to be done: in 2017 only 25% of partners were women.
Now is the time to celebrate progress, and resolve to finish what the suffragettes started. Your support for #March4Women 2019 is a once-in-a-century chance to do this.
