Tell the Prime Minister what matters to you
Tackling gender inequality and the climate crisis are the two biggest challenges of our generation. They need urgent and ambitious action.
Will you tell the Prime Minister that he must show his commitment to tackling these injustices by taking action in the first 100 days of his new government?
Please send your message to the Prime Minister by following the two steps below:
Step 1: Copy the text below (you will then be able to paste this text into your email message to the Prime Minister – feel free to amend the text if you want to personalise it):
Dear Prime Minister,
Please commit to tackling gender inequality and the climate crisis. I believe these are the two biggest challenges facing us today. I call on you to do the following 4 things in the first 100 days of your new government:
Appoint a gender equal cabinet, with men and women having equally important Ministerial roles in government;
Declare a Climate Emergency that will require a carbon reduction strategy to be presented to Parliament in the first 100 days;
Appoint a Gender Champion for the UK-hosted Global Climate Summit in 2020;
Commit to an independent Department for International Development to safeguard the UK’s effective aid for women and climate resilience.
You can make a huge difference by showing the world that the UK is taking the lead in tackling the twin injustices of climate change and gender inequality.
