Last September, record rainfall and the collapse of two dams triggered lethal flash floods which swept away entire neighbourhoods. Libya was already a difficult place for ordinary people and now they face a new, enormous crisis.
CARE's response
CARE is prioritising safe water, emergency shelter, medical support and hot meals to people who have been impacted by the devastation.
CARE’s Libyan headquarters in Tripoli is coordinating our response in partnership with the Libyan Red Crescent Society and other organisations that have a presence on the ground in the affected areas.
