CARE International has committed to supporting 200 million people to overcome poverty and social injustice by 2030 in our 2030 Vision.
Behind these stories are individuals whose lives have been transformed thanks to the generosity of our supporters. Those people include Teissir from Sudan, Asma from Bangladesh and Dawa from Mozambique:
-
LIFE-SAVING SUPPLIES
Teissir's story
Teissir lives with her sister in a refugee camp in Chad, having fled from violence and chaos in Sudan. They have received cash assistance from CARE which they can use to buy food and vital supplies.
-
HEALTH AND NUTRITION SUPPORT
Asma's story
Asma received advice on health and nutrition from a CARE project in Bangladesh during her second pregnancy, after her first child was born malnourished. Thanks to this intervention, now both of her children are healthy and happy.
-
BUILDING NEW FUTURES
Dawa's story
In Mozambique, conflict and extreme weather events have forced thousands of people from their homes. CARE is training women like Dawa to build safe and secure temporary homes for their families and communities.
* 2024/25 figures cover the period from July 2024 - June 2025. Our global reach includes anyone who directly received services, support or resources from CARE or partners during this time.
