The hopes and fears of a Syrian refugee
In early September, Laura Gilmour, CARE International UK press officer, reported from the Serbian/Hungarian border where CARE is currently distributing food, water and other supplies to Syrian refugees. While Laura was there she interviewed refugees about their journey from Syria, their reasons for leaving and their hopes for the future in Europe.
This is an interview with one of the tens of thousands of Syrian refugees who have been attempting to cross into Europe, and this is his story.
