Sudan is in crisis.
In April 2023, a brutal conflict broke out in western Sudan which has killed thousands, and left millions in dire need of humanitarian assistance, with women and girls bearing the worst of the war.
This is now the world's largest humanitarian crisis. Nearly 20 million people are facing acute hunger. Around 14 million people have been forced to flee their homes. Women and girls are facing unimaginable levels of physical and sexual violence. Nowhere is safe.

34-year-old Nima was forced to flee Sudan with her four young children. Now living in a refugee camp in Chad, her daughters know first-hand what war looks like:
My six-year-old still has nightmares every night. She yells ‘Mommy, they are coming to kill us. We have to run.” – Nima
