Hundreds have been killed or are missing, and tens of thousands have fled their homes after devastating flash floods on the Nepal-Tibet border. The floods have destroyed villages, roads, vital infrastructure, and have left more than 10,000 families with nowhere to sleep.
Rescue teams are still searching for people who have been swept away, while access to some of the worst-affected areas remains difficult.
CARE Nepal are preparing to respond with emergency relief, including shelter, hygiene, and dignity kits, for affected families as they work with communities to understand the most urgent needs.
