When you donate to CARE International UK, through this website or in other ways, you are supporting a global movement which is saving lives and defeating poverty every single day.
Our campaigns will highlight specific areas of CARE’s work, but these are just some of the many ways CARE supports people around the world. Donations will fund our work fighting poverty and injustice, and help to fund CARE’s general support and running costs.
Emergency Appeals
When we fundraise for a specific emergency appeal, at least 84p goes directly towards the emergency response. Up to 16p will be used to cover CARE’s general support and running costs. This helps ensure that we can respond quickly in future emergencies.
In the unlikely event that we raise more money than is needed for an emergency appeal, or we cannot spend the funds for any reason, these donations will be spent on other CARE International work fighting poverty and injustice, both overseas and in our UK operations.
