CARE International UK has recently completed production of our new 4-year org strategy (completed June 2026). We have a long, internally facing master document which is primarily intended to capture all the key decisions we have made, and to guide our decision-making and approach over the next four years.

We are now seeking support to turn this into a coherent set of externally facing documents for our different audiences. This will include:

  • Advising CARE on framing and structure
  • Copy editing the content to significantly shorten it, and make it an inspiring suite of documents that can win support among our priority audiences: corporates, trusts and foundations, high-value supporters, and FCDO.
  • Presenting this in a compelling way through on-brand design.

You will report into the Director of Fundraising and Comms who will manage internal stakeholder management. You will also receive support on brand, tone of voice and design via our Comms and Brand Manager.

Objectives

The engagement should deliver external materials that:

  • Position the strategy as a decisive response to a hostile and rapidly changing global context.
  • Make the strategy's key choices land with funders in language that resonates with high-value audiences of differing warmth and alignment with us.
  • Give CARE a distinctive and memorable articulation of its goal and approach, that holds together as one coherent voice across audiences and outputs.
  • Inspire confidence and action among existing and new funders, making the case that supports CARE's shift towards more diversified, voluntary income.

See the below PDF for the full details of the brief.
