CARE International UK is seeking experienced freelancers, consultants or firms to join a roster providing high-quality bid development and proposal writing support on an as-needed basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a global organisation working in over 100 countries to tackle poverty and inequality, with a strong focus on women and girls.
About the role
Selected consultants will support the development of compelling, donor-compliant proposals and concept notes, including:
- Writing and structuring funding proposals and concept notes
- Editing and strengthening draft applications
- Ensuring alignment with donor requirements and internal programme design
- Collaborating with technical, finance and partner teams
Requirements
We’re looking for professionals with:
- Proven experience in international development or humanitarian proposal writing
- A strong track record securing institutional or commercial funding
- Excellent writing, editing and communication skills
- Familiarity with donor requirements (e.g. FCDO, foundations, corporates)
- Ability to deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines
What to expect
- Flexible, project-based assignments
- Remote working (with some UK hours overlap)
- Inclusion onto a CARE International UK consultant roster (no guarantee of work)
